ScyFy is originally from Brooklyn, NY with strong carribean roots. She started showing an interest in fine art at the young age of 5. She excelled in every art class required in public school. In her early 20s she started to show more interest in painting as she self taught herself how to measure and blend acrylic paints. After taking a few art courses in her undergraduate studies at City College, she started to become more serious about creating art as a business. ScyFy is currently working fulltime as a teacher assistant. She has two daughters with whom she creates art with and shows techniques. Her many inspirations and influences include Frida Kahlo, Vincent Vangough, Basqiuat, Mathamatics Patterson and her oldest daughter Hasaanah. ScyFy's free time is spent creating comissioned art work,reading,writing, going to dinner with friends and showcasing her art at many different venues.
